IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL TAX PAYERS
2nd HALF REAL ESTATE TAX COLLECTION
Numerous Inquiries have been made as to how the 2nd Half Real Estate Tax Collection can be modified for taxpayers who find themselves financially challenged due to the COVID-19 economic crisis. The Ohio Revised Code sets forth the rules of the real estate tax collections and all County Treasurers are duly sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the State of Ohio. The Ohio Revised Code provides NO leeway for the reducing real estate taxes regardless the condition of the economy. However there is some flexibility as to how taxes can be paid. Real estate taxes can be paid by Mail, Drop Box, Drive Thru, Auto Pay, Credit Card (fees apply), E-check ($1.50 fee if under $10,000).
